Due Diligence Affidavit Ohio

Not Found Affidavits accepted by all Ohio courts — documented diligent search reports

Ohio Due Diligence / Not Found Affidavit

When personal service cannot be completed after diligent effort, Ohio courts require a Due Diligence Affidavit (also called a Not Found Affidavit) before granting alternate forms of service such as service by publication.

Columbus Process Servers provides sworn Due Diligence Affidavits that document every attempt made to locate and serve a defendant. Our affidavits are accepted by all Ohio courts — Common Pleas, Municipal, Probate and Federal.

What Our Affidavit Documents

  • Dates, times and addresses of all service attempts
  • Physical description of the premises visited
  • Inquiries made of neighbors and building management
  • Database and public record searches conducted
  • Investigator's sworn statement of due diligence
